تحرّكت بين ٤٠ و٩٠ في العقود الأخيرة. ارتفاعها يعني أن الفضة رخيصة نسبياً مقارنةً بالذهب، وانخفاضها يعني العكس. It has swung between roughly 40 and 90 in recent decades. A higher reading means silver is relatively cheap against gold; a lower one the reverse.

Electronics, solar panels, medicine. That makes it closer to an economic commodity than a safe haven — in a downturn it can fall while gold rises.
تتحرك ضعف حركة الذهب. صعوداً وهبوطاً. هذا يجذب من يريد مكسباً أسرع، ويؤذي من لا يحتمل التقلّب. It moves about twice as much as gold. Up and down. That attracts those wanting faster gains, and hurts those who cannot sit through swings.

A thousand dollars of silver weighs dozens of times more than the same value in gold. Storage, transport and insurance cost more relative to value.
